Mission Kitchen and Bath was presented with a Silver Award at the 2015 NARI REMY Awards in the category of Bath Remodel $25,000-$50,000. The NARI REMY awards represent the highest quality remodeling projects in Kansas City and honors contractors for their craftsmanship, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in remodeling.

One of the biggest trends in bathroom design right now to create serene, zen-like spa bathrooms where homeowners can pamper and indulge themselves. Mission Kitchen and Bath achieved that with our award-winning bathroom make over. Using a new design and innovative materials, we transformed an out-of-date master bedroom into a resort-style private spa retreat. The existing white cabinetry was replaced with new grey-stained birch wood cabinetry to create a fresh, modern design. Floor-to-ceiling stacked brick was added to the existing fireplace to create a stunning focal point that makes a bold statement. To compliment the stacked stone, we chose pebble stone flooring for the shower, large taupe tiles for the shower and floor, and beautiful granite with a combination of white and taupe colors. To complete the spa-like feel of the newly designed bath, we added a free standing tub, another hot trend in bathroom design.

This year’s submissions were judged by the Greater Omaha NARI chapter. Before and after photos, budget considerations, overall aesthetic appeal, and communication with the homeowner were all considerations in the judging process. Twenty-five projects were honored at the awards.
