What do you do when you have a great big tub and an itty bitty shower? This is what we did for this client.
We did a tub to shower conversion which left a perfect place for a wonderful new storage unit. A new 48″ wide, tall wall cabinet fit perfectly in the space where the old shower was. The new cabinetry offered double doors with two adjustable shelves and eight drawers of storage. Wow! What a great change!
When the tub was removed, the space was large enough to create a 55″ wide shower and we created a beautiful niche with the left over space. This niche wall was capped with crown moulding that complimented all the other existing crown moulding inside the space. A recessed light was installed to highlight the new space.
New, taller height vanity cabinetry were also installed. “Snowfall” granite pulls together all the elements of color in the floor tile and shaved pebble tile in the shower. The simplicity of the white ceramic tile and glass tile created a very elegant space for this home owner. The finishing touch of elegance was with the installation of the ceiling mounted light fixture which reflects light across the ceiling.
New recessed lighting was also installed for additional light. When we found the per mirror to mount above the vanity the client chose not to have wall mounted vanity lighting.
